Yamazaki
About this Nohaku
The perfect place for sightseeing in northern Tsushima!
Minpaku Yamazaki is located in Toyo, a fishing village on the northern tip of Tsushima. It is only a 10-minute drive from Hitakatsu, the northern gateway to Tsushima, making it a convenient location for sightseeing in the northern part of Tsushima.
Tsushima is a border island located on the border between Japan and Korea. There are many places near our inn where you can experience this. For example, the Korea Observatory is a 5-minute drive away. On a clear day, you can see the cityscape of Busan, Korea. Nearby is the Yutaka Fort, built in the early Showa period (early 20th century). From the viewpoint of “national defense,” you can feel how it should be as a border island.
Various events are held in northern Tsushima, such as the “Hitotsubatago Festival” in late April and the “Border Islands Marathon,” a major summer event. Please stay at our convenient inn when you participate in these events.
Convenient to restaurants in Hitakatsu
Our inn serves home-cooked meals centering on fish dishes. You can enjoy fresh seafood such as fish and turban shells, as well as dishes unique to Tsushima such as tonchan.
It is also a good idea to have dinner at a restaurant in Hitakatsu. We can provide transportation upon request (*), so please consult us in advance.
Please consult with us in advance. Please understand this beforehand.
We have many guests from Japan and abroad.
The innkeeper is Reiko Yamazaki, who was born and raised in Yutaka. She and her powerful wife, who can satisfy the stomachs of her three growing children, welcome you with open arms. On the living room door are many messages from past guests! Many guests from overseas, including Korea, have stayed with us.
Nearby Sightseeing Spots
☆Miuda Beach (10 minutes by car)
Selected as one of the “100 best beaches in Japan,” this is one of the most famous beaches in Tsushima. The natural sandy beach and crystal clear sea water create a tropical atmosphere. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations, crowded with many bathers every summer.
☆Toyo Battery Ruins (5-minute drive)
This is the site of an artillery battery constructed by the former army in the early Showa period. After World War II, it was blown up by the U.S. Army, but the sturdy reinforced concrete could not be completely destroyed. It still retains the majestic appearance of the past.
